Official Policies

EVENT ACCESSIBILITY, NON-DISCRIMINATION, AND SCOPE POLICY

 

1. Equal Access and Admission

The Moose Ridge Gathering is a private, ticketed event open to all individuals who wish to study, practice, and preserve ancient technologies and traditional crafts. Ticket sales, admission, and participation are available to all members of the public regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or disability. We do not discriminate against any individual in our ticketing, entry protocols, or general event access.

2. Standard of Conduct and Safety

Every participant, instructor, and staff member is held to the exact same objective behavioral standard under our Universal Code of Conduct. We are strictly committed to maintaining an environment free from harassment, bullying, and intimidation. All attendees have the right to a safe, peaceful, and respectful space to learn.

3. Event Scope and Structure

While we guarantee equal access and equal protection for every individual on the land, our event programming is strictly defined by its historical and cultural scope:

  • Ancestral-Based Curriculum: Programming is modeled strictly on historical crafts and skills (such as knapping or archery), as well as certain sovereignty and survival-based topics (such as homesteading or off-grid living skills), and nature-based learning (such as plant identification or tracking)

  • No Modern Identity Frameworks: The Moose Ridge Gathering is not structured around, and cannot accommodate, modern social, political, religious, or any other identity-specific spaces, breakout zones, or programming.

  • Unified Community: To maintain the purpose and cultural integrity of the gathering, all communal spaces, class areas, and bathroom facilities remain unified and open to all ticket holders equally. 

4. Terms of Refusal and Removal

  • Admission to the property is contingent upon respecting the event's scope, staff, and established boundaries. We reserve the right, without discrimination, to refuse service, revoke ticket access, and remove any individual from the property who causes a continuous disruption to our programming, ignores staff directives, or violates the Code of Conduct.

 

UNIVERSAL CODE OF CONDUCT & GUIDELINES

The Moose Ridge Gathering is a private, ticketed event dedicated strictly to the study, preservation, and transmission of ancient technologies and crafts, homesteading/sovereignty skills, and ecological knowledge.

To ensure a safe, functional, and peaceful experience for all participants, instructors, and staff, every attendee is required to strictly adhere to the following universal behavioral boundaries. By entering the property, you agree to these rules and guidelines.

1. Unified Space & Scope

  • Programming Focus: This gathering is structured entirely around the topics of ancient and ancestral living, primitive skills, survival skills, natural/ecological learning, and homesteading/sovereignty skills. We do not host, accommodate, or facilitate programming based on modern social, political, religious, or identity-specific frameworks, as these topics are beyond the scope and boundaries of our gathering.

  • Open Community Layout: All communal spaces, class areas, and shared facilities are open to all ticket holders at all appropriate times.

2. Physical Safety & Boundaries

  • Physical Autonomy: Unwanted physical contact, non-consensual touch, or physical intimidation of any kind is strictly prohibited. 

  • Instruction Safety: During skills instruction, participants must strictly follow any rules and/or safety directives set forth by the instructor and/or staff. 

  • Property Respect: All attendees must respect the personal campsites, tents, tools, and raw materials of their fellow participants. Unauthorized borrowing, theft, or tampering with another person’s property will not be tolerated.  All attendees must respect the property and rights of the owners of Moose Ridge Wilderness School, whereupon the Moose Ridge Gathering is held, as well as all rules and boundaries set forth.  

3. Conduct & Peace

  • Harassment: We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bullying, verbal insults, intimidation, or targeted degradation of any staff member or attendee.  

  • Disruption: Any behavior that actively disrupts the peace, order, or instructional focus of the gathering will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event. 

4. Dogs

  • We are unable to allow dogs at our event, unless they are a registered service animal.

5. Children

  • Kids are very welcome, but must be supervised at all times by a parent or adult guardian. Primitive skills gatherings have many inherent risks such as sharp objects, weaponry, open water, and other hazards.  Parents and/or guardians assume responsibility for keeping children safe.

6. Refunds

  • Tickets may be refunded until two weeks before the event.
